Taumeasina Island Resort – Bulk Earthworks, Building Platforms and Pavement Construction.
At the construction of the new Taumeasina Island Resort, Bluebird Construction was contracted to clear and carry out the earthworks for the entire site, constructing the entire building platform.
The Importance of Earthwork.
Typical earthworks include preparation of building sites, road construction, causeways, dams, elevations and waterways. Other common earthworks are land grading to reconfigure the topography of a site, or to stabilize slopes.
The earthwork may be either earth excavation or earth filling or sometimes both according to the desired shape and level. Planning of the earthwork is important before the project will start. The planning of the earthwork will determine the quality of the project.
